Karen Dick

Primarily my work is functional stoneware because I love making pieces that people use everyday in their homes. I like to decorate my pieces by carving or incising patterns into the clay before they are glazed. In the past year I have been making raku fired, non-functional pieces which present many challenges and sometimes great surprises in the firing process. Working with clay is something I began over 30 years ago and I still love it.

My work is currently available at the semi-annual sales of the Boulder Potters' Guild and at at the Grand Lake Art Gallery.
