It was a thrill when clay joined my life in 1969 as a compliment to my ongoing musical profession as a piano teacher and composer. From the start, the combination worked well. Both music and pottery are about line, color and form.
In our travels, the pottery around the world, particularly from the classical periods of China and Greece, has left imprints that subconsciously evolve in porcelain, low fire and stoneware clay, emerging in forms and surfaces for painting, drawing and etching. |
